As long as you plan ahead and don't wait until the tank is almost empty it should never be a problem. I've stopped at some stations that were just convenience stores with easily accessible pumps out front just because it was on the way and it was an obvious easy in and easy out situation. Nothing says I have to stop at truck stops. Pump orientation is all that matters.
Most Flying J and Pilots also have RV lanes that have both gas and diesel and they USUALLY are pretty easy to get in to and out of.
Basically when your fuel is starting to get low, don't pass up a station that you can see will be easy in hopes of finding one down the road that is a penny or two cheaper. I've had both diesel and gas RV's and with a gasser you have 2-3 times as many gas stations that you can get in to without a problem. Many gas stations, like WAWA and Raceway sell diesel now but they only have a limited amount of diesel pumps and they are not always easily accessible.
As soon as my gauge gets below 1/2 a tank I start scoping out stations. That way I don't feel pressured to use a questionable station.
