I'm excited I just ordered my full Banks Power system and Transcommand. I think I got a good price. The Banks Power system was $1,298 and the Transcommand was $225. I was quoted about $2,600 for both from Banks. Now I just need to get them installed. I'm very mechanical, but I think I would need a lift to install the headers as there was not much space in there when I replaced the plugs and wires. Does anyone know of any good install shops in Southern California?I can't wait to try out the extra power. I hope it turns out to be worth it!!

I have the full Banks system on my 96 Thor Residency ,you will enjoy the added tork on hills,but dont expect too much on fuel mileage improvement like they claim.

If you are in So. California the best place to have the system is Banks Engineering. They are the best!

I did the install on ours in the storage lot. I sprayed the exhaust bolts with PB Blaster a few times in the days before I went ahead and did the removal. Bottom line is I had no issues with either the exhaust,intake or transcommand and ottomind //// took about a day , taking my time

Why not have Banks do the install? They are in Azusa right off the 605 and 210. I have had them do work to 2 Dodge 5.9 CTDs in the past and have been happy, they have a nice waiting area and very professional...

What you will get on the Ford 460 chassis is much improved power and much cooler running. I had Banks install the full system on my old 1998 Dolphin on the 460 V-8 chassis. WOW, what an improvement in performance. Nothing in the MPG department, but after lots of research, I did not expect that. Only carrying less in the MH and keeping between 55 & 62 MPH did that.

Thanks for the replies. If my motorhome where at my house, I would probably attempt the install. But parking it at the RV lot makes running back and forth for parts a real chore.

I did check with Banks and I think I will have them install the system and the Transcommand. I can't wait to see how it drives with these 2 kits installed. I'm expecting big changes!!!

Thor.......I did my system on the ground......put the motorhome up on wood blocks for extra clearance......did it during the month of July......laying on the cool concrete felt great!:B

I'll be installing the Banks system on my 1997 Thor Residency Ford 460. As for the installation, maybe my motorhome has less room around the tire area because I could barely fit in there to change the plugs/wires.

JanTx, the Banks system is a set of stainless steel headers and a full stainless exhaust, plus a intake system.
