Firestone Tires

Thanks for all the information. I think Firestones will be what I will use.

Just today, I talked to the guy that runs my local car and truck tire center. I know him personally, and know that he carries both Firestone and Michelin, as well as some others. I asked him which was best for my "C". He said he'd put Firestone on his MH if he had one. Good enough for me.

TransForce have very flexible side wall. They are not stiff. Gives a soft ride. Side wall needs a lot of strength for handling. Not there in transforce.

Put 6 Firestone TransForce on our class C in March and put on about 7000 miles since, great ride no problems.

Love the transforce just put 6 on our class c!!

I saw a Class C lose a front wheel last Friday on Interstate 78 PA.

Tires are usually older than the MH is called. The tire is ordered by the chassis builder and installed on a cutaway chassis that is bought in bulk by the MH builder. Many times I have seen chassis sitting out in the vacant lots with sun shining on the bare tires waiting for the builder to finish their part. You can't blame tires for how they were stored prior to your poor experience.

Not a motorhome owner, but I just put a set of TransForce HTs on my pickup to get me to AK. Leaving this Thursday!

A year or two ago, our fleet switched to Michelins. They are cheaper and wear out about twice as fast.
