I had a 2003 Damon Challenger and had the same problem. I think most, if not all, of motorhomes built on the Ford chassis back then were the same. I also owned a 2011 Winnebago on a Ford chassis and it was a dream to drive, it was like day and night compared to the 2003 Damon.
