After going through three coaches, we finally applied the approach you illustrate. After deciding on trading for the third coach, we had the coach in mind we wanted. We intended to order a new one upon my retirement but the dealer called and told us he had the model we were looking for he took on a trade. It was less than a year old with less than 6K miles. It saved us about 30K over the new cost so we traded early.
Your point of buying, then trading up is a very expensive route to take. I know because we took it. Find what you want and can afford and go after it. Thanks for a very informatie article.
