I pick up my first MH next Wednesday 6/30/10, a 1998 class a Holiday Rambler Endeavor 36WGS 36ft MH. The wife and I can't wait to go on our first road trip!!
Also joining the Good Sam club. I have waited years for this! No more pop-ups!!!!
The only thing I don't like about this process is the lying the salesman do. Anything to sell the vehicle, trying to get around it to the facts is darn near impossible.
They start the RV before you get there even though you want to see it start up cold, their response, of course it doesn't blow blue smoke, well, I'd like to see that for myself! So I'm going to insist it be cold start when I go to pick it up, if it's not I won't be taking it home that day.
Getting around the bull is such a pain.
Have you considered having it checked out by a third party mechanic? Shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred dollars to have it checked out, if you know of a reputable mechanic that would give you a lot more confidence that you are getting what you are paying for.
