Well the mech called said he's taken it out and tested it on the highway and in the city, to the park (6.5 miles away) and back, and on the freeway, the owner came by and took it for a spin as well and was quoted saying 'its like a completely different rig"
Said it was a secondary electrical fuel pump in the tank, I'm loath to think he was messing about with the genny's fuel pump.
I'm alwase skeptical of mechanics, specially ones that don't have a million dollar shop and all english speaking crew of 5+ but we're gonna go grab it wednesday and opt for a 95 mile trip with no steep hills as opposed to 75 through the mountains, if it makes it home I'll have alot more pix to post most likely with as many questions.
For example some roof patching, I wanna take it to a carwash and scrub/blast the roof before I attempt to make any roof patching compound stick; is this advisable? Any ideas how I can keep from funneling water into the holes? or should I just hope for clear sunny skys after a vigorous soaking.
Then comes dropping the tanks, replacing the deeps and firing the genny.
Might fork it over for a better battery, I don't like the weak crank I get.
