First time RVers looking for advice on our first purchase

All of the modern day Class A gassers are built on a Ford chassis with a Ford V-10 motor. In my job I get to drive lots of motorhomes and my favorite is the Allegro Open Road from Tiffin because it is the quietest and appears to be better built than the rest. It also costs more but it's the one I'd look at if I was in the market.
