many motorhomes use cabinet type latches like found at rona/ home depot.
mine benefited from a little lube in the locks and the latch/catch mechanism. look to see that the catch isn;t gouged and is lined up.
table...we don;t use ours- we just use lap-trays.
the RT cloverleaf table is a nice design though
and some owners pull the driver's side seat and replace with an armoire.
our pleasure way just has the 2 front seats which swivel- that gives more room in the "coach"
