I agree with PapPappy ... the offgassing issue could be serious from a health & safety perspective if the wrong product is used. My gut tells me water based treatments might be safer but I do not know for sure.
Product manufacturers should be able to tell you. If it was me, I'd start at a Home Depot type place and ask what framing contractors might use.
