Sorry you didn't get the joke. :(
I thought it was funny... I just found this thread and started reading it in order. On page 5, I thought 'no way' is Spec going to get it done by Labor Day. It'd be kewl to see him turn that 'junk pile' into somthing useable but he may never get it done. Its no biggie, in the end, its still just an old Motor Home and there are lots of other fixer-upper projects that a talented DIYer like Spec can devote his time to.
We had an old 1969 Winnie that I 'tinkered' with for years. Our Family took summer vactions all over the US with it.
We sold it to get an old boat that I 'tinkered' with for years. Our Family had a lot of nice boating vacations.
Now the kids are all grown and have kids of their own. We now have a new boat and newer MH that my kids use a lot to go on vacations with their Familys, but I still get to 'tinker'
