You will get a ton of opinions on this matter. The best advise I can give is to shop around and make your choice. There are several different brands out there. Myself I use a Blue ox tow bar and the base plate for the car came from Night shift auto where I purchased the ready brake. It is a mechanical surge brake that is simple and inexpensive, and works very well. Blue ox is a great company that stands behind their product. I am sure the others do as well butI can't speak for that.
