I was looking for a toad and I can't tell you how many salesman told me 'ya you can tow this one four down'...when it could NOT be towed four down. :R I.E. That was before I found the blue/ox site where you can first look up the makes and models I was interested in.

Each time I reached in for the owners manual and shoved it in their face and walked off the lot. The last time I went to the GM and expressed my opinion of salesman that lie to get the sale.

Listed under Recreation Towing. It will tell you right there whether you need a dolly or if it can be towed four down.

I had a salesman at a Toyota dealer tell me that. I pointed out that the owners manual specifically said do not do it. He claimed they just put that in there for liability reasons and you could do it. So I said great, I'll buy the truck. But I want an addendum to the contract that says I can tow it four down and if it does any damage based on towing it that way, that the dealer would be responsible for fixing it. I didn't buy the truck.
