- msmith1199Explorer III tried to cut and paste from the owners manual and it won't post from some reason when I do that. According to info I found GM puts either a manual or an electronic transfer case in their new trucks. The manual will have a lever similar to a parking brake lever on the floor and the electronic is a knob left of the steering wheel. Both of them have a Neutral positions. Per the 2015 owners manual, as long as you have one of those two types of transfer cases, you can flat tow it if you follow all their directions.
- msmith1199Explorer III was just looking at a Chev Colorado 4x4 and the neutral setting on the transfer case was not obvious. You had to push in the knob and turn it further and I don't think it was even marked. A light came on when you got to the right spot.

- Mandalay_ParrExplorerYour owners manual is your bible.
- bullydogs1ExplorerLook in owner's manual...If it is a system that has a neutral setting on the transfer box, it should be...but the owner's manual will tell you for sure and if you don't have that it is definitely somewhere on line.
