Fleetwood Terra

Just curious if Fleetwood still makes the Terra. We were looking at a 2014 Terra and tried to get more information online. I can't find anything more recent than 2016.

Is it a deal-breaker to consider a used model that's no longer being made? Any owners of Terras who would like to chime in about their experience?

Thanks for your input.

I think it depends on the year, some Flairs, Fiestas and Terra's had front and rear caps with full basement storage. I don't see rear caps or full basement storage in the newer ones.
  • When Fleetwood RV restarted under new ownership, the Flair was repositioned as the most basic model line, replacing the Terra/Fiesta twins. I think if you look at a new Flair, you'll see trim and furnishings similar to your Terra. All new Flairs have at least one slideout, and paint; those are a step up from the most basic Terra offerings.
  • IMO the quality is as good as should be expected from a low end unit. We love ours. Took couch and dinette out, replaced with loveseat and free standing table. Had engineered wood floor installed and upgraded shades to MCD. Being an entry level coach provides you with an opportunity to make whatever upgrades you want. We've put over 30k miles in the 5yrs we've had it. Just have your maintenance done as required and enjoy.
  • Any information about the Fleetwood Terra as far as quality of build? It's not a model you see often.

Our motorhome is no longer made, but it's a Ford Chassis, Atwood stove, Norcold refrigerator, Atwood water heater, Dometic air conditioners, Thedford toilet, faucets, water lines, shower parts, cabinet knobs, interior wall material etc can be purchased at any big box store. Furniture, carpet, flooring easily replaced. Exactly what parts should we be concerned with? Our unit is 17 yrs old and we have absolutely no problem getting parts if repairs are needed.

Ditto, on the Newmar,, 18 years old, all parts still available. some are manufactured when ordered., but they can be had.
  • Currently have a 2007 Terra LX. No problems getting parts or making repairs. Very basic, not a lot of frills coach.
  • We are on our 7th & 8th RV's the only one that isn't an orphan is our Phaeton. The others have all been acquired by other manufacturers, some more than once. Body parts can be fabricated, might cost a bit, all other components are readily available

  • Parts are parts, chasie and drivetrain from different manufactures, hundreds of subsystems parts from different manufactures, Fleetwood just assembled them. Even if you give it a bump odds are a body shop can make it look as good as new.
