Florida cracking down on out of State plates ?

Driving down Hwy 1 in the Miami/Hollywood area today, the Florida Hwy Patrol had cameras set up along one stretch of the hwy with the following warning sign set up. One trooper said they were looking ...

Per post......"One trooper said they were looking for expired tags and out of state vehicles belonging to residents."

ANY expired tags and FL residents with vehicles NOT registered in FL.

Lots of states have cracked down on residents registering vehicle in other states to get around paying higher tags/registration fees and sales tax.
