Have been seeking out and using Flying J for many years. I use only the truck lanes with my Flying J Plus card. Tank fills twice as fast as the RV lanes and the time spent at the "pump" is much less. When I finish filling I move to an "out of the way spot" and park. Then we go inside to look around and allow my legs to get some exercise and then back on the road.
We have had no issues and the truckers have always been friendly. Have not noticed any "bumps" moving into Pilot's operation.
If I had to state a negative it would be (and always has been) the $1000.00 limit of their credit card. It's inconvenient on the long run situations but we have other "trucker stations" cards we use. Flying J is losing our business on those occasions. When you use $300 to $400 each fillup, it doesn't take long to use up the $1000.00.
