That part is really not a problem since FMCA is not yet allowing towable owners to join. They will open up the membership AFTER the definitions of what is and what is not is worked out.
It just like electing a new President. He did not get to rule the Country the day after the vote was completed.
Bill, this is not correct. As soon as the documents are filed with the state, "recreation vehicles" will be allowed to join. This filing is happening now and the expected date that they will be joining is December 6th.
The official definition of what a "recreation vehicle" is won't happen until the July Governing Board meeting in Gillette.
The president has no say as to what, or when this is completed.
This comes from the FMCA forum.Per FMCA's governing documents, the paperwork is being filed to make the vote official. Until the paperwork is finalized, we cannot accept membership applications from owners of self-contained RVs.
"Paperwork being finalized" is the filing and recording of the new articles of incorporation. The rest of the paperwork, the constitution was finalized when you voted. The bylaws are changed by the governing board and what happened was the GB voted to accept the changes at the 2017 GB meeting with the proviso that they will go into effect if the articles and constitution get passed which they did. No changes can be made to the articles or constitution without another vote of the membership. The bylaws can and will most likely be amended during the governing board meeting in July. No way will FMCA wait until July to start allowing "recreation vehicles" to join.
