I bought my RV for a multitude of reasons, but one of the big ones included a place for the dogs that did not require kennel or leaving them behind. I am highly involved in the regions sanctioned road racing both as a participant and volunteer official. So I spend a lot of weekends 1-6 hours away from home at a race track playing official, or playing racecar driver. The RV was ideal as it gave me a place to get out of the weather, a bed, and of course a place for my Aussie and MinPin.
But since I bought the RV, I made a promise to use to for more then just racing, so I take at least 1 big vacation every winter when things are slow at the office, and 2-5 long weekend trips (schedule depending) through the summer season.
In the end I get a lot of use out of the RV for what its worth. From mid march through Thanksgiving at least every other weekend im using it. Then I winterize it before the hard freeze shows up in the DC metro area, and it gets stored until the first week of January when I take a trip south for some warmer weather. Then winterized and back into storage until March once again.
