Ford E450 class c with V10 slow to start sometimes

I have a 04 class c with the v10. After it sit for some time it will turn over for 5-10 sec be for starting up. It dose not do this all the time mostly after it sits for a week or two. It has done it...

This is often an early indicator of a worn out fuel pump. How long can it go before it fails? Who knows. My old van was like that for about 4 years before I finally replaced it (after it also started hydrolocking in hot weather). My brother's Expy currently does it too but he'll probably wait until it fails to change it.
