If you want to change the Fuel Filter here's a thread about it. It's easy, but it helps to be sure which end goes which way and to get the correct one to be able to change it again the next time. There are pictures illustrating that.
I'm sure Bryan's point about a failing fuel pump is correct. It's also my belief that a clogged fuel filter shortens pump life.
