Ford V10 engine surging idle and power , help please ??

First things first. Let the onboard self diagnostics help you. Is your check engine light on? That is a yes or no. If it is on, you need to check for fault codes before doing anything else. Most (not all) running issues will set one or more fault codes. It's never a good idea to "throw" parts at a questionable diagnosis.
