In 2006, I purchase a 5th wheel Wildcat made by Forest River. For an inexpensive RV, I felt the quality was very good. Fit and finish above average. Very few problems; nothing major.
This being said, last weekend my wife and I visited an RV dealer that sells many Forest River products. We looked at 5th wheels and TT's. I must say I was extremely disappointed in the level of quality, particularly the fit and finish. Seemed like they are using cheaper materials than back in 2006. Some of these units should never have left the manufacturing plant. Quality control must have been on vacation. We walked away thinking if we purchase another RV it most likely will not be a Forest River product.
Other brands may not be any better, but IMOP, the current FR products do not compare to FR products made in 2006.
