If you then also give the tire-specifications I can make my picture of the calculator.
But I dont want to write that you are doing it wrong, probably you can even go lower then 78 psi on front. Only the criteria you base it on are good but because of inacuracy of reading-scale it does not do what you expect of it.
But here picture of another spreadsheet I made for the temperature pressure playing part.
It proves that your temperature readings are way out of line with the pressure readings. I estimated the ambiënt temperatures low to give as large possible differences in the pressure rising, but even then only 2 psi for 10 degr temp rising.
And a pressure rising from 78psi at 30degrF to 88psi gives temperature rise of 53 degr so this is not yust a little bit off, but by far.
Not a real problem but you builded your conclusions about savety on that low temperature rising, and that gives false savety feeling.
Can be that your temperature sensors are measuring an average between inside tire and outside tire by the way they are constructed or placed. Then the temperature they read is pretty accurate, wich most temperature readings are, but the temperature measured is not that of the inside tire air.
