Free RV Storage?

The lucky people have a nice big driveway or barn to store their motorhome.
Lots of people pay an RV storage facility.

But has anyone found any innovative ways of getting a FREE place to park your motorhome when you're not on the road.

We haven't bought yet, but my driveway is only 17 feet, so a 35 foot Class A just ain't gonna fit!

  • I think bsinmich has the reasonable approach. You need a friend or relative with land that'll allow you to improve, then park there.
  • Per your profile, you're a pastor. How about your church grounds.

How about a Class B with really big slide outs? :B
  • We have neighbors that like to park in our driveway when we're gone for the shade.

We rented for five years going from model to model, gas, diesel, various layouts so that when we decided to buy we knew what we liked and didn't like. Good Luck. Have fun. Only good times ahead.
  • Parking your rig at your home also lets burglars know when you're gone....just sayin.....:)....Dennis
  • We stored ours at an RV park for a few years then decided to check local zoning codes about parking on property. We ripped out some landscaping, measured 3-4 times, laid some white rock and now we parallel park our MH eight next to the house. Had a 50amp exterior plug installed on the house. Not plugged in all the time. Very handy for periodic maintenance which consists of running generator under full load once a week. Taking the MH out on the road once a month for a 10 mile drive.
  • When my daughter & SIL were building another barn I pitched in some cash for part of the roof. That isn't exactly free but it works. If you can't afford storage you are getting in the wrong hobby.
  • You gonna need a bigger driveway!! And it isn't gonna be free !
