I depends upon how much water you can hold and how much water you need on a daily basis. I keep at least a 1/2 tank of fresh water when traveling in case I don't make my destination or change my plans. I often travel with a full tank but I don't sweat it one way or the other as long as I have 1/2. The weight would rarely be an issue with a big diesel pusher but could cause a slight drop in mileage on a smaller coach. I carry 165 gallons of fresh and that lasts me about 5 days as I like long hot showers in the morning, I drink and flush the water, I make ice and the wife might do a load of laundry which cuts one days usage. You just need to know what you have, what you use and how you will be traveling to make an informed decision. The sloshing issue is not an issue so it's just about weight and fill me now or fill me later.
