I fill with fresh water (100 gallon tank) and use it along the way. Once we get down to just above a quarter of a tank, I'll fill again and off we go.
Our new coach will use the water from the fresh tank only (189 gallons). So, we'll only connect to shore water when needed.
I try to keep the fresh tank full most of the time because you just never know. If we weigh 39,500 or 40,000 lbs., it's just no big deal.
