- jerseyjimExplorerDDNDOUG: I have no "before/after" photos. All I can really say is: get a photo of a brand new 2001 National RV "Dolphin"...and there it is.
Funny thing tho, the upper 2/3rds (white with the decals) never did need re-painting even tho that was most likely in the same miserable condition as the bottom 1/3rd (with that blue/grey color.) However...a good compounding and wax brought it all up to "new". - deandecExplorer

I agree, if the goal is to have a net gain on sale after painting the MH.
But many folks on these forums are buying rigs that depreciate at the rate of $7K per year or so and having fun while it happens!
I know because I was one of them. Now, our rig is nearly fully depreciated.
So, paying for a $15k paint job on a $10K market value rig will be no different than those folks accepting a high annual value depreciation.
JMHO... This crazy hobby has not been a good investment no matter how I try to spin it. - ddndougExplorerjerseyjim - Do you have any pics of your paint job? Before and after hopefully.

- ncrowleyExplorer IIThanks so much for all of the information. I live in St George, UT. I am about 2 hours from Las Vegas. Does anyone have recommendations for a paint shop there?
- DSDP_DonExplorerI think if you like the coach, the power plant is running well, the interior still looks nice and you would like to keep the coach, I would have the exterior painted. With that said, I wouldn't put a $15K paint job on a $10K motor home. Make sure the coach still has some value greater than the price of the paint work.
