I am on my second coach with the full wall slide. The first one was a 2005 Fleetwood Providence. The storage compartments were part of the slide and thus no pass thru. The reduced storage in this unit was due to the chassis configuration and not the full wall slide. We now have a 2011 Itasca Ellipse 42QD. I believe it is advertised as having the largest (or close to it) storage area on the market for a 42' unit. Yes the plumbing and electrical bays are under the slide but it has not been a problem. Just do your hookups before deploying the slide and disconnect afterwards. Or look on the bright side....for those times that you need to dump the tanks in the rain you an squat under the protection of the slide and not get wet. :)
