Seriously: where are you going? Unless the destination is in Jersey, there is pretty much ALWAYS a better route than the GSP!
Did the GS in our 41" HR Imperial with tow last year about this time. Ditto on the bad road. When we got to our destination the brakes were hot, the wallet was empty and the welds were broken on our tow gear. Luckily the mgr at the CG we stayed at knew a welder who fixed it for us. Will never drive that route again, mostly because I was so unimpressed with the "Jersey Shore" that we'll never go back. This was pre-storm too, perhaps a little renewal will help. - phnguykExplorer

Illegal? Yes, enforced? Not really. I have yet to run into any gas attendant that's given me any trouble pumping my own, whether coach or car. As for diesel, its considered hazardous to the employees so most won't pump it for you. - w4phjExplorerYes, I travel the entire length from NY to exit zero at Cape May flat towing a SUV. Only light is at exit 10. The last time I filled up in NJ, the attendant told me to pump my own diesel.........
- bullydogs1ExplorerLast but not least..you can tow 4 down on the parkway...you cannot dolly tow on the parkway..and sometimes they enforce that.

High tolls and if you have to stop for fuel, you cannot pump it yourself.
I always pump myself in my coach. Most stations won't pump diesel for you. - phnguykExplorer

Can you drive the G/S parkway in a class A motorhome from the NY border to I95
YES. It's horrible way up north and traffic lights way down south. No low overpasses to be concerned with. - JarlaxleExplorer IIBonus: if you need paint mixed, put it in the rig! The pavement will shake it nicely!

- gclossExplorerI take our TT from Gardiner NY to Ocean City MD every July. I avoid the Garden State and instead take 287 from the NY border heading south and pickup I-95 in New Brunswick. No low bridge issues, no Jersey Shore traffic and no tolls on I-287.
