I always find this topic very interesting, and frankly, a bit comical.
Here we are, a bunch of RVers who've spent at least 100K on our RVs, and in many, many cases substantially more than that, discussing fuel economy.
Let's do the math. The average RVer travels 5000 miles per year (Google it). If they get 8 miles per gallon, and gas is $2.00 per gallon, they'll spend about $1250 per year on gas.
Now, let's bump that up to 10 miles per gallon (a substantial increase no matter how you look at it). The new annual expense is about $1000, a whopping annual savings of $250, or a mind-boggling $20.83 per month!!
Sure, it's always an interesting topic, but to me the term penny-wise and pound-foolish comes to mind :C
Am I the only one that gets a big smile on my face when this particular topic surfaces??
