As mentioned, your generator should have an hours meter and there should be some guideline for an oil/filter change. In most cases this is in the several hundred hours range or once a year. If you have not used the generator too much this year I would run the generator for the rally and plan to change the oil after or at the end of the year if you still don't hit the hourly limit.
4 days is really not a big deal. The generator likes to run. I once ran mine for 9 days with a couple of brief shut downs to check the oil. We were working in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. There was no power or there were no campsites. Either way, it was way too hot to shut the A/C down for more than a few minutes.
