Most FMCA conventions have 24 hour generator lots.
There is no problem letting it run for 4 days. We (and 100s of others) do it for every Auburn football home game. I once let my boat generator run for a month while on a long hot vacation. I did shut it down to change oil. I've run RV generators for more than a week with no issues.
If you feel a need you can shut it down from time to time to check oil but if it gets low it'll shut itself down. Of course that might be at 3:00 am.
If it's been nearly a year since changing the oil I'd probably go ahead and do it now but I wouldn't have a problem waiting until the return either. 96 hours one way or the other is going to fry the engine.
I love it when folks brag about the few hours they have on their generator. They were designed and built to run. You can probably figure around .3-.6 GPH depending on generator size and load so make sure you have enough fuel for 4 days.
