OK, don't want to hijack the thread but since it's been discussed I've always wondered about a Gen Turi.
If I hook it up to my generator exhaust (left front) and run it up to the roof what prevents gases from coming in any of the 6 openings in my roof (3 ACs and 3 vents)? They are all basically at the same level now. Not trying to start any arguments here, just wondering?
thanks
Chris
Nothing! OK, not the 3 A/C units as they don't bring in air from outside but the 3 roof vents could easily suck generator gasses back into the RV IF (Big IF) you have the vents to draw air in and not blow air out. If the vents are set to blow air out then the exhaust must first cool, drop to window level, mix with the existing good air and then come through your window. At this point the amount of bad gas in the air compared to the amount of good gas in the air will be very, very small and likely completely safe. Now, let's compare this to NOT using a Genturi. The gas goes away from the coach, never rises off the ground and will never come into your coach in any concentration. The Genturi is not about your comfort or safety but rather the comfort of those parked beside or behind you. I will never own one of these. Anyone who plans to park that close to me deserves what they get.
