Gen set running for 4 days in a row

Are you seriously saying you will do nothing about an invisible gas you're outputting that kills people? And it's on them to recognize that you don't have proper safety concerns? Can't you just talk to your neighbors and let them know, or anything? Really? How about if you arrive late?

I'm sorry, but this kind of attitude is why I've avoided those big RV gatherings. I always tried my best to park far away from others when I'd use the genset but sometimes they'd end up crowded around and I'd just shut it off. There was one time when I ended up being surrounded with big RVs gassing my RV and I just left early. The headache was a motivator.

Oh my. Nothing like hundreds of RV generators roaring for four days. So this is why there are no RVs near the Coliseum for USC home games....thank God.

I turn my generator on when I pull the coach out and shut it off when I get cross country five days later. 250-300 hours between changes.

I will second that.. I have, and use a Gen-Turi.. I would not park next to you without it.

I have never had a medical issue due to a neighbor but my CO Alarm sure got annoying when a neighbor ran HIS generator... He was blowing smoke (Well exhaust) right at me.... We finally re-routed his exhaust and that allieved the problem.

I have seen folks yammer about "Dangers" of the Gen-turi.. I have never EVER, in 12 years of using one, and reading RV forums. NOT ONE case where there was any evidence of said dangers.. NOT ONE.

The "Dangers" are false.. they are liars and frankly I do not know why.

Mine alarms at 150 hours for service. Seems like that is Onans prescribed change.

Is it the air that you need for medical reasons? I'm just curious, as that is the only real thing the inverter wouldn't cover for a while.

Another suggestion that you pay particular attention to where you park and how close to someone you park. It was what, just 4 years ago a family of 4 was killed when a late arrival pulled up next to them and ran his genset all night right next to their rig? The guy drove off never knowing he'd just killed several people. So if you have a genturi device, good for your neighbors, if your neighbor has one, good for you.

That's got to be a misprint. If not, I don't think I'd select a Generac for my home standby generator. Changing the oil nearly twice every day would get old real fast.

Sometimes the manufacturer will schedule the initial oil change after a few hours because of using a "break in" oil type. However, subsequent changes should be less frequent than every 14 hours.

I just ran mine for about 72 hours straight onan 7000. had both air units running the fridge etc. I did change my oil and filters before I went just because I was going to be running it straight thru the whole time. I think there was like 101 hours on it when I changed the oil and there is 173 on the gen unit now. But for me it was just for piece of mind.I guess good luck. make sure you bring extra fuel or gas. I think mine used about 1 gallon an hour about. as I had to run get gas before I left the campground lesson learned for me lol. Mike
