The better ones are made by Cummins Onan, Xantrex and Magnum energy. Prices start around $500. I have had one for 11 years and would not be without it.
As said the better ones are totally programmable for quiet times.
I did not opt for the AC temp sensor because the genny will start whenever the AC calls for power. At least with my Magnum Energy AGS.
