Reading all the replies I wondered how I missed the valve adjustment. Went to the RV and got out my Onan generator manual (8000 KW) there is NO mention of any valve adjustment what so ever . So I didn't miss it . Apparently the 8000 doesn't require it. I knew about the belt replacement at 1000 hours ,haven't had it done yet,but I do the oil,filters and antifreeze as required.
