Your Xantrex inverter/charger may be operating exactly as it is designed BUT you may have one battery that is going bad. The Xantrex monitors the amount of charge in your battery bank as a whole, but if you have one battery that has a bad cell, it can be giving false information to the Xantrex and that is causing it to cycle on and off.
I would have each one of your house batteries checked individually to see if each of them are in good shape.
