You probably only have ONE breaker but it is a double pole breaker which means that it has two separate legs of 120 volts running through it. This means that if EITHER leg of the 120 volts draws too many amps, the entire breaker will trip shutting off all output voltage to both legs.

This is what I meant by having only ONE 35A Circuit breaker on the operating panel of the gen itself. But, its' a double pole. All you see is one breaker switch.
