I can't imagine what the conditions must be for a serviced and tuned generator to reach the overheat and shut it's self down. I ran my Onan 4k in all kinds of hot outside temperatures and never had that issue. The manufacturer calculated hot climates into the design. There would have to be some other issue, like a bad switch or something.
