Some of the Roadtrek models get about 6+ hours of AC use with a Lithium battery bank before needing a recharge. An under hood generator, that runs off of the engine, is used to run appliances, and fast charge the Lithiums.
I'm a little out of touch with the technology, but others on here know quite a bit about these systems. I think one hurdle is keeping the lithium batteries at a cool temperature.
