Are you taking I-40 all the way? We have stayed at the KOA just east of Oklahoma City and would again. And have stayed at Fort Amarillo RV Resort on the west edge of Amarillo numerous times.
I-40, like most interstates, varies from very good newly rebuilt to aging and very rough and will change back and forth as you drive.
