I do not doubt for a single minute that what you describe could happen (and did happen to you) and could potentially be the primary reason for the recall. I do accept that it is the "official reason".
What I tried to point out was that in my case, I never waited for anything to cool. I immediately accelerated to ~10mph and applied full parking/emergency brake (which I would imagine would cause even more heat) and the brake pedal response instantly came back.
If heat were the reason for the failure in my case I would not expect the brakes to immediately come back. I would expect that I would have needed a cool down period.
Note also that I was careful in driving to keep the parts as cool as possible. Evidence of nothing getting overly hot can be shown by the fact that no additional parts were needed to perform the recall on my RV.
My point with this OP/thread is NOT to argue with others that have had happen to them exactly what the official recall states, but instead to describe how my experience seems to be different then the "official" reason. Maybe this information will be helpful to someone.
