GPS data base

CW sells the RVND-7735. They say they have the monopoly on this model. All others sell the 7730. I was wondering if there was any difference between the two. I figure that the 7735 sold at CW would be set up to direct you to the CW companies. KOA parks over Mom and Pop parks, or RV parks that pay to have their parks on the list and not have their near by competitor. I have noticed that data bases on GPS and mapping programs like M/S Streets and DeLorme will list different parks in the same town with very few parks on both. GPS same to be the same. I have not found one data base that carries most of the RV parks.I have looked at Williams CO to see what parks I can stay at. There is different list on my TomTom, DeLorme and M/S Streets. Then I check the internet list and it too has list for the town that is different. Does anyone know what company has a the best data base?

Easily solved by loading your own POI databases.

X2! Only caveat is that the POI files are user maintained. If someone loses interest in maintaining the file, it becomes stale.

I believe this may be a model made for CW because the Garmin site does not even list it. Probably as the OP said, with Camping World stores already identified. I might leave that one alone.

Garmin wouldn't list it because its made by Rand McNally for CW

I've always been able to find any park, SP, private CG or anything on my Garmin DEZL. Garmin - not only is it a better GPS - but Garmin has no vested interest in a particular CG over another. I had an RVND model once. Hated it. That's why I bought the Garmin. Love it. performs flawlessly which is more than I can say for the RVND - the exception being in the paperweight or boat anchor category. That's where the RVND really excels.
