GPS for the Motor Home?

Google Maps on an Android or iPhone is probably the most accurate of all of them because it gets updated frequently.....BUT....it only works if you have a cell signal! In many places around the country....that's not available.

Another vote for the Garmin RV 760. Works great for me.

I use the 7" Garmin. Very user friendly. Also cross check with Google Nav on my tablet. Used to use DeLorme on my laptop but its a very cumbersome program so I ditched it. The 7" GPS is very user friendly and very easy to see while driving. The suction cup mount is unreliable so I used two small screws for a secure mount for the base. I also review my routes with a Trucker Atlas which is great for verifying routes that are RV suitable. If a semi can drive it so can I.

We have a Garmin Nuvi 50 in the toad and a Rand McNally 7720 in the B+, both work great. But for the Phaeton I prefer to use my Acer Netbook running split screen with Delorme Street Atlas 2015 on the right and Silverleaf VMSpc systems monitor for the motorhome on the left. Each one has a definite learning curve. Like on the Klondike Highway in the Yukon the 7720 kept telling us it was over 900 miles to Chicken Alaska when it was under 200 miles. Reason? We had it on the default setting "Avoid gravel roads".

Garmin RV760 is what I have and I love the size, it's big and easy to see!
