GPS Smartphone accessory
If using the smartphone as a GPS, is there a way to attach the phone to the dash..or window? Does one use bluetooth for the GPS function?

You didn't say which phone, but I have the original Droid and this cradle attaches to the window or dash. It has a magnet that automatically put it into GPS Navigation mode, but it is easy to exit from that. I find it very useful, as it can be charged while driving, although that app takes a lot of power.
