GPS

On the last trip I bought a Good Sam 7" GPS and returned it after the trip because it wasn't satisfactory. It was hard to read because of glare. I even picked up a hood for it. I doubted the instructions I received. I was running with two GPS's on the dash to compare, the Good Sam and a 5" Garmin. At one point I was a half block from the RV Park, the Garmin said Destination 300 ft. on right. The Good Sam said to go to the next street and make a U turn. I have used a Garmin for almost 10 years and have been satisfied but wanted the RV information available on the Good Sam. How many of you have used the Good Sam 7" and are pleased with it.

    CoPilot. They now have versions for Android, iOS, and windows and windows phone.

    I've used it on a 10" android tablet, a 7" Ipad mini, and a standard Android phone. It's great. Never led me wrong. has car/truck/ and RV modes, let's you input your height and weight.

    Lifetime map updates. Lifetime active traffic. For $25, there is nothing even close.

    I was getting irritated at my Garmin because my phone was showing me a shorter route. I followed the phone and pulled my big 20 ton ass off a busy road on to a road with a nice big sign that said "Max Weight 3 Tons"! Then I had to back my big ass back on to said busy road. Now there is only one GPS allowed to be on at one time. You guessed it, the one designed for RVs!!

    With all those "returned" units going back, I suspect a lot of us are actually getting "slightly used" units when buying "new".

    i tried both and neither worked well. they both chose routes that were up to 50 percent longer than routes which trucks use. both favored interstates. both had poorly designed interfaces. returned both.

    Another vote for the Garmin RV760LMT! So far, it's been completely accurate for me!

    Garmin RV 760 is great. It doesn't always agree with other GPS units because it only route you where it knows it is safe for your RV. Sometimes you may see a better way that either isn't programmed or just maybe the weight limit is less than your rig weight, maybe!

    I am sold on the Garmin RV760 LMT. I have tried the Rand and Magellan, neither lasted long enough to like. Have had the Garmin for two years nary a hiccup. Key is to update it regularly.

    Please research the Garmin Nuvi 2595. You tell it where to go and you have your route in front of you. Lifetime map updates and lifetime traffic. Refurbished $99

    Very pleased. First trip i hated it as I was use to a garmin, now perfect.
