problem we had with that was that once the syphon action started, it continues to dump water when we hit the road and found ourselves with barely enough to cook with at night, let alone flush the toilet. I also discovered the water fill problem with this class a--our Winnie had an inlet--no prob. with this thing (FR Windsong), the question is not only how to fill the tank w/o one, but how can you sanitize the tank then (add bleach)? would be the same way you'd add anti-freeze in the winter I'm sure, but where is the uptake for that? don't know.
I have heard others speak of this siphon problem so you aren't alone, but I don't have that problem. My overflow is at the top of the tank. It will continue to dump water for about five minutes after I turn the hose off, but I think that is because of the angle of the tank and there is probably a little pressure in the tank too. I don't understand why people have this siphon problem. Once the air pocket gets created at the top of the tank the water should stop coming out of the overflow. To get a siphon the overflow would have to be hooked to some kind of hose that goes down into the tank. I don't know what they would do that with an overflow, and if they did do it then how does the overflow even work? How does the air get out of the top of the tank as you fill it?
