We purchased a 73 Escapade 26' in 1998 on the Dodge chassis. It had 5500 miles on it and had been stored inside for its entire life, as the owner was hurt in a logging accident early in its life. They saved it for the kids to use but they never did. Had to change the split ring wheels to tubeless wheels and tires, added dash and roof air, cruise and numerous other additions. Pulled out the Orange shag carpet and replaced it and had the cushions reupholstered. Over the next 3 years we put on over 25,000 miles on it and enjoyed every mile. It had the 413 wedge motor, lots of power in it. In 74, some Dodges had the 440 and disk brakes. Customize to whatever suits you and have a blast. Happy Trails Bert
