My heart sank a bit, as we had not. He told me it was gone and that he was calling the police. I asked him how good his insurance was and he said they had good insurance and would take care of us. I talked to the police, gave info and got the case number. I reported it to my insurance. They opened a case, just in case the repair company's insurance has issues. Gave them all the info and provided info. One of the guys at work stated that I was taking it rather well and I informed him that that was on the outside and that we had insurance and so did the company. The company owner called again to inform me that they had found the scene on their security tapes and were turning that over to the police. I do not have high hopes of getting it back in near the condition it was in. I suspect one of two things. It is stripped, including bay doors being pried open. Or it is hidden in some of the forests around here by a meth cook. Angel and I both are a bit shocked but this too will pass. We have a trip to IL that we will be doing but I doubt it will be in the MH. We will adjust those travel plans. Anyone else have an exciting day?

while this sucks.... If any vehicle of mine was stolen I wouldn't want it back..... let them have it and that is what I pay my insurance for. In your case, what the repair facility pays it's insurance for.You don't know what they did to it or in it... I doubt they drove it as careful as you would and took care of it while they were using it._

Our 40' Tourmaster was stolen from the storage yard. They hotwired it and drove it right through the gate. All I found was a few pieces of fiberglass...Insurance company did me right though. Make sure you document everything that was in the coach including food, clothing, tools etc. What the auto insurance won't pay, get your homeowner's insurance involved. For what it's worth, two weeks after I received my insurance checks, the police recovered it. It had been parked behind a record store and a couple kids were living in it. They said "a guy" gave them permission to stay there....:E...There was extensive front end damage and both A/Cs had been ripped off where they ran into a low branch. They never touched the bottom compartments. The insurance company said I could come get whatever I wanted out of it before they handed it over to CoPart....my insurance at the time was with AAA....good luck...I know how you feel inside when that happens....ugh!...Dennis

Dennis,I can hope for that. Like my996duc1 said, I am not sure I would want it back. No scenario plays well in my head.

Years ago a friend was RVing in Florida and stopped by the beach in the afternoon to stroll the beach and have lunch. They parked in a public area with other cars about. When they returned with only their swim suits, towels, lunch cooler and keys the MH was gone. Stolen! No wallet, no ID,...the police officer who took the report put them up in his house for the evening until AMX offices opened the next day and a credit card and cash could be issued. The rig was found later totaled. The purchased another and enjoyed many years of RVing together.True story.Happy Trails.

Having your car stolen is one thing but the MH, heck that's like loosing your home. I'd be devastated and un-consolable. You are handling it quite well all things considered.Hope you get a replacement soon and maybe even a newer one would be nice and you get back on the road RV'ing before summer is over.:C

Our last trip was to the beach a couple weekends back. After watching the Pacific Ocean extinguish the sun for the night, we went back to the MH and took the chill off by sitting in front of the fireplace, sipping on hot chocolate (with Bailey's Cinnamon and Vanila) and watched a movie. Yeah. We really like the new MH.

Kiwi, just saw your new rig from your earlier post. Beautiful! Hope that you have enjoyed it since losing the other rig. How have you enjoyed the fireplace?

Well, got a call from the Jefferson County, WA Sheriff's office. They found GEICO's MH. GEICO has paid us for the loss. Do not know how they found it but they now have a warrant out for the guy who owns the property where it was found, about 95 miles from here, and he has property in a town close to us.

GEICO let us get some of our personal effects. After seeing it, glad GEICO paid out before it was found. It was in fair condition but what a lot of work it would have taken to restore. We were only able to get a few hundred dollars of personal effects back. Most important was some dishes my Angel had had since she was 19 and her parents had bought for her.

Needless to say the washing machine and dishwasher is working overtime tonight.

We also went through with a fine tooth comb to make sure there was nothing left with our names on it.

It will be auctioned at Insurance Auto Auctions soon.

Our inventory and copies of all docs (maintenance/purchaces/installs) starts now and will be in our S&B, as well. Lesson learned. I hope none of you go through this but learn from us that you need all of your inventory (with pics) and (copies of) docs stored outside of the MH.

Very nice! The floor plan is very close to the 2014 Palazzo diesel we got this month. It's also a 36 footer, a very popular size now. We saw several 36s when we were looking in both gas and diesel. You'll love the bath and a half! We were in Lawrence KS for a week and had kids and grandkids over a lot. It was great having the half bath for them, keeping them out of our bedroom and bath.
Too bad you had to go through that to get it. I'm going to make an inventory this afternoon...before we take off next week!!

Congrats on the new rig! Sorry for the loss of your other one, but I think you will love the new one. Very similar floorplan to ours, and we love it!
